Migration of the domain in Plesk failed: Failed to allow applications in Classic to work in Integrated mode after migration in web.config files

Symptoms

• The following error message is displayed in Plesk Migrator:
  

  PLESK_ERROR: Failed to allow applications in Classic to work in Integrated mode after migration in web.config files
  Migration tools tried to perform operation in 3 attempts: Command execution failed on the local server with non-zero exit code.

Cause

The domain already exists on the target server with hosting type: "No hosting".

Resolution

Change the hosting type to "Website hosting" for the domain example.com :

1. Log into Plesk
2. Navigate to Domains > example.com > Hosting Settings
3. Click "Change" next to the Hosting type button and select "Website hosting".
4. Click "Apply".
5. Re-run the migration.
