Question
Does Plesk support HTTP/3 (QUIC) protocol?
Answer
HTTP/3 support is now available on Linux, starting with Plesk Obsidian 18.0.61. Support on Windows Server is not yet available.
Note: The QUIC and HTTP/3 support in nginx is still experimental, please be careful enabling and using it.
-
Started from Plesk Obsidian 18.0.71 it is possible to enable or disable HTTP/3 support on a per-site basis under servers with HTTP/3 support enabled.
-
Since Apache doesn't support HTTP/3 yet, it is available for nginx or Apache + nginx proxy.
-
Servers that upgrade to this version will need to enable it manually by running this command:
# plesk bin http3_pref --enable -nginx
-
This protocol uses UDP, so it should be allowed in the firewall rules.

When will HTTP3 become available on Windows?
Denis Kondopoulos at the moment there is no plan for HTTP3 support for Plesk on Windows. However, it may change so I would recommend to check Plesk Change Log page for updates: https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/obsidian/change-log/
As a customer, I think that's unacceptable.. I thought the point a monthly subscription is because this ensures always being updated to date. If such updates aren't forthcoming and on top of that there's discrimination of windows customers, I find that unacceptable. I'm very disappointed.
Denis Kondopoulos h3 is available on the latest windows servers versions.
It is not a Plesk issue but an IIS thing. If you have a recent Windows Server version you can enable h3 with some manual work.
I have enabled it on all my windows servers that supported, for earlier versions it is not possible unless microsoft decides to patch the OS which I do not see it happening.
Fragiskos Kaffetzakis, you misunderstood. The issue is not HTTP3 on Windows in general. When you enable HTTP on Windows 2025 then Plesk breaks and does not work! That's the problem! Plesk are aware of the issue but do nothing (yet).
