System packages update is not working on Plesk RHEL-based server: Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'PLESK_17_PHP74

Symptoms

System packages update is not working on Plesk RHEL-based server, e.g. via yum update or dnf update:

CONFIG_TEXT: Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'PLESK_17_PHP74
- Status code: 404 for http://autoinstall.plesk.com/PHP74_17/dist-rpm-CentOS-8-x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml
Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'PLESK_17_PHP74': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried

Cause

RHEL8 forks were switched to the RedHat repository on the RedHat side.

Resolution

Run the Plesk update via the plesk installer:

1. Connect to the server via SSH.

2. Run Plesk Installer Update :

   # plesk installer update
