Symptoms

  • System logs are not being rotated:

  • Logrotate system package is not installed:

    CONFIG_TEXT: # yum list installed |grep logrotate
    psa-logrotate.x86_64 3.22.0-2.redhat.9+p18.0.64.0+t240819.0541 @PLESK_18_0_65-dist

  • Server is using Almalinux/CentOS

Cause

Logrotate system package is not installed

Resolution

Install logrotate system package:

  1. Connect to the Plesk server via SSH.

  2. Execute command:

    # yum install logrotate

  • Hello,

    The issue occurs because the logrotate package is not installed on the server, preventing logs from rotating automatically. To fix it, connect to the server via SSH and install the package by running yum install logrotate. Once installed, automatic log rotation will resume according to Per Your Health the system configuration.
