Symptoms

A scheduled task that is intended to run a command like
wget,echo, etc, fails in Domains > example.com > Scheduled Tasks:PLESK_ERROR: Task "wget http://example.com" completed with error in 0 seconds.

In the error details the following can be found:
CONFIG_TEXT: user with id=10004 and name=jdoe not found in chrooted passwd file
system error: Host is down -
User
jdoeis a system user of the subscription. -
The domain was recently migrated from another server and the settings in Tools & Settings > Scheduled Tasks (Cron jobs) > Settings and in Domains > example.com > Web Hosting Access are the same.
Cause
Unclear. Possible inconsistency of between system user accounts in OS and Plesk database.
Resolution
- Log into Plesk.
- Go to Domains > example.com > Web Hosting Access.
- Switch the Access to the server over SSH option to /bin/bash.
- Apply changes.
- Switch the Access to the server over SSH option back to the previous value.
- Apply changes.
