Unable to migrate: rsync error: error in file IO

Symptoms

• Unable to sync the subscription during the migration in Plesk at Tools & Settings > Migration and Transfer Manager > 203.0.113.2 > Overview tab > [Details] against the migrated subscription:

  Failed to synchronize subscription with plan
  Migration tools tried to perform operation in 3 attempts: Plesk error [1023]: This subscription is not tied to a service plan, and so it cannot be synchronized.

  OR

  rsync: mkdir "/var/www/vhosts/system/example.com/logs" failed: No such file or directory (2)
  rsync error: error in file IO (code 11) at main.c(663) [Receiver=3.1.3]

Cause

The Service Plan of the migrated subscription has been manually changed to none/Custom on the destination server.

[Re-sync] option cannot synchronize subscription with the service plan if subscription has no service plan assigned on the destination server.

Resolution

1. Log into Plesk on the destination server and,

2. Go to Subscriptions and remove the subscription

3. Go to Tools and Settings > Migrator & Transfer Manager and re migrate the subscription.
