Question
- Does Plesk Onyx or Plesk Obsidian support Apache Tomcat?
- Why is it not possible to install Apache Tomcat on Plesk Onyx 17.8 or Plesk Obsidian?
Answer
Due to lack of sufficient demand, support for Apache Tomcat has been dropped in Plesk Onyx 17.8 and later versions of Plesk.
The last Plesk control panel version on which Apache Tomcat was supported in the past was Plesk Onyx 17.5, however since this version has reached its end of life a long time ago (according to the Plesk Lifecycle Policy), such support is not available any longer.
If you want to use Apache Tomcat on your Linux server, you would need to configure it on the server OS level on your own and keep in mind that support for it is not available on the side of Plesk.
