Unable to upload files on web form: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine

Symptoms

• Unable to upload files using web form developed with .NET Framework:

  CONFIG_TEXT: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.

• The package AccessDatabaseEngine.exe has been installed in accordance with Microsoft documentation

• ODBC connection test is successful.

Cause

32-bit version of MS SQL server is installed.

Resolution

1. Connect to the server via RDP;
2. Download and install "2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components" package from this page.
