After changing of the server timezone the log files have incorrect timesteps and scheduled tasks executed on the wrong time

Symptoms

  • Log files have incorrect (old) timestamps after system time or time zone was changed in Plesk > Tools & Settings > System Time.
  • The date command shows the correct newly configured system time.
  • The cron tasks from Tools & Settings > Scheduled Tasks (Cron jobs) are executing on the wrong time.

Cause

This is the expected behavior after the time or time zone changing, the restart of the services is required.

Resolution

Reboot the server to apply the new time and time zone for all services.

    Hi Ivan Kamnev,

     

    My PHP error log still logs GMT instead of the time according to set time zone.
