Question

How to open all ports needed by Plesk automatically?

Answer

  1. Log in to Plesk.

  2. Install Plesk Firewall extension.

  3. Enable Firewall Rules Management:

via Plesk UI
  1. Go to Tools and Settings > Firewall and click Enable Firewall Rules Management:

  2. In the next window, if you wish to preview the script, click the Preview button. To finish applying the configuration press the Enable button:

via CLI
  1. Connect to the server via SSH.

  2. Enable firewall rules management:

    # /usr/local/psa/bin/modules/firewall/settings -e

  3. Confirm enabling the firewall rules management within 60 seconds:

    # /usr/local/psa/bin/modules/firewall/settings -c

  • yes ... I have firewall rules management ON.  I also have many rules.  So... to what rules specifically are you referring?

  • this did not help, I'm trying to open port 53 and have made the edit in the rules but port 53 remains closed, I'm also trying to open ports 8000-8447 and those remain closed. 
    I've talked with the data center and the tell me they've not closed or blocked those ports and when I ssh into the server the ports show open but all test say they are closed
