Symptoms

Unable to log in via FTP to a website hosted in Plesk:

CONFIG_TEXT: 530 Valid hostname is expected.
In FileZilla, the following error may appear in debug mode:

CONFIG_TEXT: GnuTLS error -48: Key usage violation in certificate has been detected
Hostname is set in FTP domain's binding in IIS > Server Name > Sites > 203.0.113.2.

Cause

Incorrect FTP domain's binding in IIS.

Resolution

Note: This article requires RDP connection to the server. If you don't have RDP credentials or full Plesk access, contact server administrator or hosting support that hosts your server.
