Plesk and CLI utilities are not working: HTTP 500 error

Symptoms

• Plesk is not accessible with error message

  CONFIG_TEXT:HTTP 500 error

• Unable to run Plesk CLI utilities, for example:

  C:\> plesk login
  exit status 255

• Creating a domain/subdomain gets stuck in UI without any progress.

Cause

Plesk Update process has been interrupted by server reboot.

Resolution

1. Connect to the server via RDP

2. Start the command prompt as the Administrator

3. Resume the Plesk update with the following command:

   C:\> plesk installer
