Unable to access Plesk panel after upgrade: ERROR: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is no longer supported (lessc.inc.php:717)

Symptoms

  • Plesk was recently upgraded to version 18.0.50

  • The Auto-update feature is disabled from Extensions>Updates.

  • Plesk interface is not accessible with the error:

    PLESK_INFO: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is no longer supported (lessc.inc.php:717)

Cause

The version of the Skins and Color Schemes extension is outdated.

Resolution

  1. Connect to a Plesk server via RDP.

  2. Start a command prompt as an Administrator.

  3. Execute the command below to update the heavy-metal-skin ( "Skins and Color Schemes extension" ) extension version:

    C:\> plesk bin extension --install heavy-metal-skin
