Plesk Email Security shows the error: Access denied for user 'es_<username>'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Symptoms

When installing Plesk Email Security or opening it in Plesk, the following error message is shown:

PLESK_ERROR: SQLSTATE [HY000][1045] Access denied for user 'es_<username>'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Cause

Plesk Email Security database user is corrupted.

Resolution

  1. Log in to Plesk.
  2. Reinstall the Plesk Email Security extension by removing it and then installing back.
