- Plesk Obsidian for Linux
After installing Plesk Obsidian on CentOS 7, segfaults start to appear on the server:
# dmesg | grep segfault
[14947.472336] sshd: segfault at 7f013eb01ba0 ip 00007f013eb01ba0 sp 00007ffcb9a1b418 error 14 in libnss_myhostname.so.2[7f013f772000+12000]
[15038.425150] sshd: segfault at 7f222dbbcba0 ip 00007f222dbbcba0 sp 00007ffdc0733ed8 error 14 in libnss_dns-2.17.so[7f222e82d000+5000]
Plesk bug with the ID #PPPM-10986 which is planned to be fixed in future updates.
As a workaround:
- Log in to Plesk via SSH
- Comment out the following line in
CONFIG_TEXT: #EVENT=post-create reporter-mailx --notify-only
- It can also be located in
CONFIG_TEXT: #EVENT=notify reporter-mailx --notify-only -c /etc/libreport/plugins/mailx.conf
CONFIG_TEXT: #EVENT=notify-dup reporter-mailx --notify-only -c /etc/libreport/plugins/mailx.conf
- Restart the service:
# systemctl restart abrtd.service
The issue only occurs on failed SSH login attempts. It should not affect anything as it happens on sshd worker cleanup (when client connection attempt was already processed).
