Server is running on CentOs with German locale:
LANGUAGE variable is not empty:
# echo $LANGUAGE
Incorrect value for
$LANGUAGE which causes yum-python to decode UTF symbols with ASCII code.
It is considered as a bug in the product with ID #PPPM-10782 which is planned to be fixed in future Plesk updates.
Note: Consider subscribing to this article in order to receive updates on this bug or check by the bug ID in our Changelog
As a workaround:
Connect to the server via SSH
Run the installer with an empty
# env LANGUAGE= ./plesk-installer
