Plesk for Linux kb: technical ABT: Group B
- Plesk for Linux
- The domain shows the Plesk default page instead of the website content
- The website is Disabled or does not exist in Plesk under Domains > example.com
Output of the following command shows that some of virtual host configuration files are missing:
# httpd -S | grep example.com
A domain is disabled in Plesk. It means that visitors will see the web server's default page. The hosting services such as mail will be unavailable.
Note: However, the physical directories and files can be accessed by FTP clients and File Manager.
- Log into Plesk
- Go to Domains > example.com
- Create the domain with the Add Domain button or click the Activate button:
The domain is active. Still, the plesk default page is shown. Interestingly, checking the logs in /var/www/vhosts/system/domain.com/logs doesn't show anything written to them.
