- Plesk Onyx for Linux
When selecting an instance and clicking Update Core in Domains > example.com > Joomla!, the notification about successful update is shown, but the instance in fact is not updated.
After that, the following error is found in the log file
CONFIG_TEXT: ERR [extension/joomla-toolkit] mysqldump: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user 'db_user'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Backing up instance on the tab Backup in the instance's card in Domains > example.com > Joomla! fails with the same error:
PLESK_ERROR: mysqldump: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user 'db_user'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
The Joomla! instance's database is stored on a remote MySQL server - the parameter Host for the database of in Domains > example.com > Databases is not localhost or 127.0.0.1 (database name can be found on the instance's card on the Overview tab in Domains > example.com > Joomla!).
The bug in the extension Joomla! Toolkit EXTCERT-2186. It is planned to be fixed in the next release of the extension which is planned to be released until the end of May 2019.
No workaround is available until the bug is fixed.
