To convert a subdomain sub.example.com into a separate domain on a new subscription follow these steps:

Create a new subscription named
temp.example.comin Subscriptions > Add Subscription.
Configure its Hosting settings, SSL/TLS support, PHP support, etc., and other parameters in the same way they are configured forsub.example.com. -
Copy the website data from

Thank you for this. Would the same solution apply if the domain and sub-domain are on different servers with different admins? With the sub-domain on plesk.

In case the subdomain 'sub.example.com' exists on the Plesk server and the domain 'example.com' on another server, the subdomain 'sub.example.com' should be treated by Plesk as a separate domain.
