into a separate domain on a new subscription follow these steps:

Create a new subscription named
temp.example.com
in Subscriptions > Add Subscription.
Configure its Hosting settings, SSL/TLS support, PHP support, etc., and other parameters in the same way they are configured forsub.example.com

Copy the website data from
sub.example.com
totemp.example.com

Thank you for this. Would the same solution apply if the domain and sub-domain are on different servers with different admins? With the sub-domain on plesk.

In case the subdomain 'sub.example.com' exists on the Plesk server and the domain 'example.com' on another server, the subdomain 'sub.example.com' should be treated by Plesk as a separate domain.
