- During the connection process via FTP to the Plesk Linux server version 18.0.34 and higher the authentication process is objectively delayed for 3 seconds.

This is Plesk bug with ID #PPPM-12909 which will be fixed in future Plesk updates.
As a workaround:
- Log in to Plesk
- Navigate to Domains > example.com > Web Hosting Access.
- Change the "Access to the server over SSH" value to
- Click Ok.
Note: It's possible to change the shell option for all/multiple subscriptions via CLI following this article.
As a second workaround (not recommended). Append the /bin/false line to the /etc/shells file so it looks like this:
# cat /etc/shells
