    Plesk does not support dist-upgrade from any previous versions of Ubuntu;

Does this means there is no way to updated from 18.04 lts to 20.04lts ?  only via fresh install ?

Yes, currently update via migration to a new server is only available. But it is planned to add in future possibility of dist-upgrade from 18 to 20

    Hi Anton Maslov,

sorry for the old, stupid question about do release upgrade from Ubuntu 18 to 20. In the top of this site Plesk support says:

A guide for dist-upgrade from versions 16 to 18 and 18 to 20 will be available on Plesk Obsidian 18.0.31.

Now, we have 18.0.31 since a few days, but in change log nothing about dist-upgrade 18 to 20. No problem if Plesk is already working on it, I have respect for the hard work by Plesk all the time. Perhaps, or sometimes, the documentation is only forgotten. That's why I ask.

    Lots of greets

    Hello Markus

Work on this is still in progress.

    Michael Lieder

According to the Plesk Premium Email extension page, Plesk Premium Email does not support Ubuntu 20.04 yet. It supports the following operating systems:

    • CentOS 7
    • Debian 8
    • Debian 9
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
    • Ubuntu 16.04
    • Ubuntu 18.04

Wir haben jetzt 18.0.32, wann denkt Ihr, wird das dist-upgrade von Ubuntu 18 auf 20 möglich sein?

    Hi!

Has the upgrade process between Ubuntu 18 to Ubuntu 20 been finished? Or is there any estimate when it will be?

    Thanks in advance

Hi, Marc please check this article. During testing 18>20 upgrade we found additional items requiring attention, thus it is expected with 18.0.33 release in February.

Is there a timeframe when psa-watchdog will become available with TLS 1.2?

Please keep in mind that you cannot run the Acronis Backup extension on Ubuntu 20.04LTS. This is due to the snapapi that only works with 4.18.x kernels. Ubuntu 20.04LTS only ships with 5.0 kernel versions. I now need to reinstall the server again with Ubuntu 18.04TLS.
