Symptoms

The website example.com hosted on Plesk redirects to the Plesk login page when accessed via HTTPS by URL https://example.com

The URL is not customized in Plesk > Tools & Settings > Customize Plesk URL:
Plesk-hosted website redirects to Plesk login page when opened via HTTPS -
The Full hostname is set as example.com in Tools & Settings > Server Settings
Cause
The webserver treats queries to example.com as queries to Plesk URL because of the same hostname for the server.
Resolution
Change the server's hostname:
- Log in to Plesk
- Go to Tools & Settings > Server Settings
- Set a new name in the field Full hostname
Note: The hostname should be FQDN. To access Plesk URL via hostname this hostname should resolve globally to your server IP.
