- Plesk for Linux
When installing Moodle via the Application menu or updating Moodle to version 3.9 or higher in Plesk, the operation fails with:
PLESK_ERROR: Non-zero exit status returned by script.
In some cases, after an unsuccessful update, the website goes into the maintenance mode.
The following error message appears in
CONFIG_TEXT: Error: Minimal MariaDB version 10.2.29 is required.
The MariaDB version installed on the server is not the minimum supported version.
The non-clear error message is a Moodle application bug with ID APSI-1761.
Upgrade the MariaDB database server and re-run Moodle installation/update.
Note: To remove the website from the maintenance mode, follow these steps:
Connect to the Plesk server via SSH.
Run the following command to disable the Moodle maintenance utility:
# /opt/plesk/php/7.X/bin/php /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/learning/admin/cli/maintenance.php --disable
