- Plesk for Linux
Note: This article has the reference to the issue with the fix available:
- #PPPM-9880 "Enable mailman.service explicitly on centos-7 (as PPP-40080)"
- Plesk Obsidian Release Candidate 1.0 04 June 2019
A reboot was performed and the Mailman stopped working: no messages are sent on lists
Mailman service status is as follows:
# systemctl status mailman
● mailman.service - GNU Mailing List Manager
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/mailman.service; disabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: inactive (dead)
CentOS 7 is installed on the server
Mailman was not enabled by Plesk after the initial setup in Tools & Settings > Set Up Mailing Lists Server, and therefore did not start on reboot.
This behavior is considered as a bug with ID #PPPM-9880.
Connect to the server via SSH
Enable and start Mailman service manually:
# systemctl enable mailman
# systemctl start mailman
