The Plesk shows the following error in accessing Home > Docker:
PLESK_ERROR: Error: The Docker service is unavailable: No such file or directory
Error like the following can be found in
# journalctl -xe
dockerd: level=error msg="AUFS was not found in /proc/filesystems" storage-driver=aufs
dockerd: level=error msg="[graphdriver] prior storage driver aufs failed: driver not supported"
dockerd: Error starting daemon: error initializing graphdriver: driver not supported
systemd: docker.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE
systemd: docker.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
systemd: Failed to start Docker Application Container Engine.
Dist-upgrade to Debian 9 was performed recently.
There were working docker containers on the server before the dist-upgrade.
This is a Docker extension bug with ID #EXTDOCKER-53 that is planned to be fixed in future updates of Docker extension.
As a temporary workaround apply the following steps:
Connect to the server via SSH.
Install necessary Docker packages:
# apt-get install linux-headers-amd64 aufs-dkms
Start the Docker service:
# systemctl start docker
