Question

How to whitelist an IP address in Plesk Fail2Ban?

Answer

  1. Log into Plesk.

  2. Go to Tools & Settings > IP Address Banning (Fail2Ban) > Trusted IP Addresses > Add Trusted IP:

  3. In the IP address field, provide an IP address, an IP range, or a DNS host name:

  4. Click OK

    Since a few weeks i am not able to add DNS host name. The description says "...or a DNS host name", but i only gets the error "The provided IP address, network address, or hostname is invalid."

    Is it possible to add an IP range to the whitelist at all?  Do you just do 192.168.0.1/254?
