The described workaround doesn't work under Apache 2.4.

Instead of "Require from 127.0.0.1/localhost" it should be "Require local".

    Hello @haschu

I've reviewed your comment and the solution hasn't "require from" directive. Require host localhost and ip 127.0.0.1 does not contradict Apache "Require local", but the "local" directive additionally includes "both the client and the server address of the connection are the same". Respecting the least privileges principle, connection limited to localhost and 127.0.0.1 only.

    Hi,

seems like the solution was updated last week - the updated workaround works and also, as you mentioned, doesn't uses "Require from".
