Right now, only wordpress instances that were installed via Plesk appear in Access to apps list.

Are there any plans to address this issue soon so that any instance of Wordpress regardless of how it was installed can be assigned to a user account?

    thanks

    Hello @Glenn,

This functionality is implemented in WordPress Toolkit.

Using the feature to scan for instances allows to detect instances installed not from Plesk and manage them after that.

For more info, see the documentation:

    Hello Ivan,

Yes, and I use the scan function and it works however if I want to add a user and Only provide access to the Wordpress toolkit with non-admin access, the Wordpress instance does not appear under Access to apps list unless the WP instance was installed by Plesk. WP installed manually or migrated in won't appear in Access to apps list.

Is there any solution for this or a fix planned?

    Thanks

    Hi @Glenn,

Unfortunately, no workaround is possible for EXTWPTOOLK-1986 at the moment and no ETA is available so far.

This article will be updated in case w/a or ETA will be available.

Please add it to Plesk todo list :) Most WP sites aren't created with Plesk's WP app installer and not having the ability to create content editor accounts with access to WP Toolkit only is a real shortcoming.

    Thanks

    Hello @Glenn,

    Thank you for the feedback.

Such implementation closely related with Plesk business logic and its setting up affects Plesk core.
If this functionality will be in great request, the development team will consider the feature for implementing. However, due to complicity of solution, the solution may take more time than expected.
