Symptoms
-
Unable to create MSSQL databases, it fails with the following error message:
PLESK_ERROR: Error: There are no available resources of this type (MySQL databases) left. Requested: 1 available: 0.
-
The affected subscription has MSSQL database resources available in its assigned Service Plan, but it has reached the MySQL databases limit.
Cause
Product issue:
-
#PPP-46436 "Creating a Microsoft SQL Server database no longer fails if the limit on MySQL databases in the Service Plan is reached for the subscription."
Fixed in:- Plesk Obsidian 14 April 2020 (Windows)
Resolution
Workaround
As a workaround, increase the MySQL databases limit of the subscription at Service Plan or Subscription level:
Click on a section to expand
-
Go to Service Plans > Click on the Service Plan assigned to the subscription > Resources tab > Increase the MySQL databases limit > Click on Update & Sync to apply the changes to all the subscriptions assigned to this Service Plan
Note: The subscription will become locked and any changes performed on the Service Plan will not be synchronized with this subscription: How to synchronize locked subscriptions with their service plans
-
Go to Subscriptions > example.com > Account section placed on the right-side > Click on Customize:
-
In the Resources tab > Increase the MySQL databases limit > Click on Update & Lock to apply the changes only to the affected subscription
