After scanning, the VirusTotal Website Check extension reports Bad URLs and samples for a domain. When scanning this domain at virustotal.com, there are no Bad URLs for it - the website is clean.
In case the following URL is used to get the report: https://www.virustotal.com/en/domain/example.com/information/, there is one or more detection in the Latest detected files that embed this domain in their strings field:
In case API call to the VirusTotal is executed, it shows that the "detected_referrer_samples" has one or more detection:
# curl -sX GET 'https://www.virustotal.com/vtapi/v2/domain/report?apikey=APIKEY&domain=example.com' | jq '.detected_referrer_samples'
This is a VirusTotal Website Check extension bug with ID EXTPLESK-517, which is planned to be fixed in future extension updates.
Currently, there is no workaround.
