PLESK_INFO: Plesk restore report problem:
Execution of /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-cli/domain_pref.php --update example.com -webmail -ignore-nonexistent-options failed with return code 1.

An error occurred while updating domain settings: Cannot manage webmail settings: domain has subdomain 'webmail' -
The domain with the name
webmail.example.com

It is expected behavior when the subscription on the source server has a domain with the webmail. prefix.
Plesk automatically creates a DNS record webmail.example.com
for the domain. So it is no needed to create a subdomain with the webmail. prefix.
Resolution
- Log in to the source panel.
- Remove the domain
webmail.example.com
. - Log in to Plesk on the target server
- Remove the failed subscription.
- Re-migrate the subscription once again.

So how webmail works if I use Plesk for a redirected A record subdomain. I just want to create a webmail for subdomain, but there is an empty webmail page. If I use php to send emails that shows the email is sent but I can not receive it in the other end?!
if I remove webmail.example.com , the mail-server in source server will still working ? the DNS server is still point to the source server
