Note: This article has the reference to the issue with the fix available:
- #EXTWPTOOLK-1847 "You can now apply the “Permissions for files and directories” security measure to multiple WordPress instances at a time."
- WordPress Toolkit 3.4.1 27 September 2018
Several WordPress instances show the following critical security issue in Home > WordPress > Security: for the Permissions for files and directories.
The error like the following occurs:
PLESK_ERROR: An error occurred while setting the correct permissions for files (644) and directories (755) on the WordPress installation 'example.net (My CMS)'. An error occurred while checking permissions for files and directories on the WordPress installation 'example.net (My CMS)'.
This is a Plesk bug with ID #EXTWPTOOLK-1847 that is planned to be fixed in future Plesk updates.
As a temporary workaround, the solution below may be used:
Go to Home > WordPress > Security.
Secure WordPress instances one by one for each attempt.
