Question
There is a WordPress installed in domain's document root in Plesk. How to detect and register this instance in a WordPress Toolkit?
Answer
- Login to Plesk
- Open WordPress Toolkit for a domain:
- Click Scan:
When Scan button is pressed, WordPress Toolkit tries to find wp-config.php file in a directory with WordPress files or in directories higher.
Note: WP Toolkit can find and add two identical instances if one of them is backed up to a directory higher than a directory with WordPress files.
Note: to Scan all Wordpress installations on the server, perform that same at Plesk > Wordpress

Is there a way to do this on commandline?
Hello @VDX Engineering,
Currently there's no such feature in Plesk's Wordpress Toolkit. It is a task that can only be triggered via GUI. Vote for the feature on Plesk UserVoice page: https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549-feature-suggestions/suggestions/41167393-scan-wordpress-through-cli
The most popular and voted Features are likely to be implemented in next Plesk updates.
How can I debug this?
The wordpress toolkit isn't detecting one of my wordpress sites.
This is a new issue introduced in one of the updates.
I am guessing that Plesk will deny such an issue exists and that its a "server configuration" problem.
Then magically some time down the line the "scan" feature will start working again.
I hope that the magically down the line will not take a long time coming.
Today, I upgraded to the latest "Version 18.0.42 Update #1" but the feature is still broken .....
