- It is not possible to create a mailbox via CLI when mailbox containing mailbox name as an password with an error message like the following:
# /usr/local/psa/bin/mail --create email@example.com -passwd test -cp-access true -mailbox true
An error occured during mailname creation: Unable to set password:
This password is not strong enough according to the server security policy. Improve the password strength by using numbers, upper and lower-case characters, and special characters !,@,#,$,%,^,&,*,?,_,~
- When trying to create mailbox with the password containing mailbox name in Domains > example.com > Email Address > Create Email Address, the error like below is shown:
PLESK_ERROR: The password should not contain the username.
Due to security reasons it is no possible to create mailbox with password which contains username.
Invalid error reporting on creation of mailbox via CLI is caused bug #PPPM-9105, which is planned to be fixed in product future updates.
Do not specify mailbox name in the password.
