- Plesk Onyx for Linux
As shown in Plesk in Tools & Settings > Server Components, Dovecot 2.3.x.x is installed on a Plesk server.
Upon the restart of the Dovecot service, the following records can be found in the file
CONFIG_TEXT: plesk dovecot: doveconf: Warning: Obsolete setting in /etc/dovecot/conf.d/11-plesk-security-ssl.conf:2: ssl_protocols has been replaced by ssl_min_protocol
plesk dovecot: doveconf: Warning: Obsolete setting in /etc/dovecot/conf.d/11-plesk-security-ssl.conf:6: ssl_dh_parameters_length is no longer needed
These records may also appear upon checking the non-default lines in the dovecot configuration with the command:
# doveconf -n
Configuration changes in Dovecot 2.3.
As the configuration file
/etc/dovecot/conf.d/11-plesk-security-ssl.conf is created by Plesk, this issue is recognized as bug with ID PPPM-8549. It is planned to be fixed in one of the next Plesk updates.
These warning messages do not affect the work of the Dovecot service and may be either ignored or worked around the way below:
Connect to the server via SSH;
Comment out the following lines in the /etc/dovecot/conf.d/11-plesk-security-ssl.conf using any text editor:
CONFIG_TEXT: ssl_protocols = TLSv1 TLSv1.1 TLSv1.2
After modifications output of the command below should look like this:
# grep -E "protocols|dh_parameter" /etc/dovecot/conf.d/11-plesk-security-ssl.conf
#ssl_protocols = TLSv1 TLSv1.1 TLSv1.2
# service dovecot restart
