Unable to manage local Docker containers from the Docker extension via Plesk with the following error message:
PLESK_WARN: Warning: Local Docker node is missing. Refer to this KB article to resolve this issue.
The ability to work with remote nodes is available only in the paid version of the extension. You can buy the extension here.
Docker service is up and running:
# service docker status
● docker.service - Docker Application Container Engine

In the Plesk logfile
/var/log/plesk/panel.log, there are records about failed Docker installation:
CONFIG_TEXT: dpkg: error processing package docker-engine (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
ERROR:root:Command '['apt-get', '-q', '--assume-yes', '-o', 'Dpkg::Options::=--force-confdef', '-o', 'Dpkg::Options::=--force-confold', '-o', 'APT::Install-Recommends=no', '--purge', 'install', 'docker-engine']' returned non-zero exit status 100
exit status 1
Cannot install docker-engine
Docker installation is corrupted.
Connect to the Plesk server via SSH.
Remove the Docker extension:
# plesk bin extension --uninstall docker
Install the Docker extension:
# plesk bin extension --install docker
