- Checking the properties for this subscription backup showed that this backup is part of higher level backup and it is not showing for users with ID 1f5eae84-e833-4470-a723-b0e774ac07b7 and d32dc665-ac3a-48d4-a6e9-d7b41716b8ed:
# cat /var/lib/psa/dumps/resellers/reseller_name/clients/client_name/domains/example.com/.discovered/backup_info_1807101430/props
When logged in as Administrator in Subscriptions > example.com > Backup Manager total backups size and list of backups is bigger than for the customer in Websites & Domains > example.com > Backup Manager.
In Subscriptions > example.com > Backup Manager several backups are noted as Part of server backup.
Under logged customer backups in Websites & Domains > example.com > Backup Manager are noted as Created by Administrator.
Previously customer removed some backups in Websites & Domains > example.com > Backup Manager.
Removing a backup created as part of higher level backup in a subscription's backup manager removes it only from a user's view.
This is usability bug with ID PPPM-7052: Subscription level part of server backup is hidden for admin if the part is removed by customer.
The bug is planned to be fixed in one of the future product updates.
It is possible either to exclude administrators backups completely or make the backups visible again in case they were removed by accident. For that:
- Follow this article to exclude backup files created by Administrator from the disk usage of a subscription
Make removed backups visible for the customer:
Connect to the server via SSH
Note: if direct SSH access to the server is not possible, contact server administrator for further assistance.
Find backup directory on the server:
# grep DUMP_D /etc/psa/psa.conf
Find the smb_user of the customer:
# plesk db -Ne"select login from clients where id=(select cl_id from domains where name ='example.com')"
/var/lib/psa/dumps/clients/jdoe/domains/example.com/.discovered/backup_info_<timestamp>/propswith a text editor, for example:
Remove the line
ignored_by_user_and save the file.
