- Plesk for Linux
Should SElinux be enabled or disabled during Plesk installation? Will enabling/disabling SELinux take any affect on Plesk?
SELinux is installed from an OS repositories and is configured on OS-level. Plesk does not manage SELinux status.
What Plesk ships is psa-selinux package that adjusts the default SELinux settings and adds special permissions to Plesk files to keep Plesk working correctly when SELinux is enabled on a server.
It is up to the server administrator whether to have SELinux enabled or disabled: it should not make any affect on Plesk functionality.
