- Plesk Onyx for Windows
A Hyper-V virtual machine is used as a server.
Google Authenticator extension in Plesk declines one-time password that was sent to the mobile phone:
PLESK_ERROR: XXXXXX is not valid
Phone number was set correctly and the correct password from the one-time message was entered.
Time set on the mobile phone is correct.
No error is shown when specifying the NTP server at Tools & Settings > Server Time and clicking Set.
The following entry is found in Event Viewer:
CONFIG_TEXT: Event Type: Information
Event Source: W32Time
Event Category: None
Event ID: 35
The time service is now synchronizing the system time with the time source VM IC Time Synchronization Provider.
VM IC Time Synchronization Provider is shown as Source when executing the following command in Command Prompt:
C:\> w32tm /query /status
Leap Indicator: 0(no warning)
Source: VM IC Time Synchronization Provider
When manually updating time by clicking Update now at Control Panel > Date and Time > Internet Time tab > Change Settings, the message appears that the clock was successfully synchronized, although the time remains incorrect.
Incorrect time set on the Hyper-V host which is used as the time server for the virtual machine.
Note: in case Plesk does not run on Hyper-V, check this article.
Contact Microsoft support for instructions on time synchronization setup using the external time server.
