- Plesk Onyx for Linux
- Anonimyze IPs during log rotation option is enabled in Plesk > Tools & Settings > Server Settings
IP addresses present in
/var/www/vhosts/example.com/logs/access_log.processedare not anonymized
/var/www/vhosts/example.com/logs/access_log.processedfile contains access logs from that day
- Log rotation for domain example.com is set to be rotated Daily under Domains > example.com > Logs > All Logs > Manage Log Files > Log Rotation:
It is expected behavior: by design only IP address inside zipped log files (having
.gz extension) will be anonymized.
If it is required to anonymize log files in the present day proceed with the following:
- Log into Plesk
- Set log rotation By Size in Plesk > Domains > example.com > Logs > All Logs > Manage Log Files > Log Rotation
This way, after running the Daily Maintenance Script, if
access_log.processed is bigger than the specified size, then it will be rotated to a
.gz file and IP addresses will be anonymized.
