Unable to connect via IMAP port 993. The Windows Live Mail reports the following error message:
PLESK_INFO: The connection to the server failed.
Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network error. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.
IMAP port 993 is shown as filtered in the online port checker:
Port 993 is in filtered/closed by firewall.
Note: if you don't have administrative access to Plesk via RDP, contact your hosting provider regarding the issue
Connect to the server via RDP.
Press Start > type Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.
Click Inbound Rules, find and click Secure Internet Mail Access Protocol (IMAPS) rule.
- Tick Allow the connection option.
- Press OK button.
Note: If port 993 is still filtered/closed, check if there are any external firewalls. Contact your network administrator for further troubleshooting.
If this solution does not help, reboot the server and check access again.
