The following error is shown in Tools & Settings > Web Application Firewall:
CONFIG_TEXT: This operation is taking too long. Check the results in a few minutes.
The following error appears in the log file
CONFIG_TEXT: ERR [panel] modsecurity_ctl failed:
aum failed with exitcode -9.
Unable to download tortix rule set
Every hour, aum creates a new process and uses 100% of CPU on a Plesk server with Ubuntu 16.04:
# ps aux | grep asl
root 4833 0.0 0.0 12648 3172 ? S 19:17 0:00 /bin/bash /etc/cron.hourly/asl

Kernel packages are not up-to-date.
Warning: Applying the resolution steps implies installing OS kernel updates and rebooting the server. As an alternative, kernel can be updated on-the-fly using the KernelCare Extension.
Connect to the server using SSH.
Update the list of available packages:
# apt-get update
Upgrade the system packages:
# apt-get upgrade
Upgrade kernel packages manually as they might not be upgraded by the previous command:
# apt-get install linux-generic
Reboot the server to complete the kernel update:
