Question
Which Magento versions are supported by Plesk?
Answer
Plesk supports only Magento versions which are installed via Plesk Application Catalog (Plesk > Domains > example.com > Applications > All Available Applications).
The following versions of Magento are available for the installation:
-
2.1.0
-
2.0.7
-
1.9.2.4
-
1.8.1.0
-
1.7.0.2
-
1.1.3
-
1.0
-
0.9.17740
Note: Magento versions higher than 2.1.0, e.g. 2.2.4, are not available for the installation via Plesk Application Catalog and thus are not supported.
If an installation/upgrade of Magento version higher than 2.1.0 is required, it should be performed on your own.
In case of any errors appeared during installation/upgrade operations, contact Magento support for the assistance.

Hello Vicente Valdez
The APS package vendor is to update the package in the catalog to make it available for the upgrade.
The workaround was suggested on Magento Forum: https://community.magento.com/t5/Magento-2-x-Feature-Requests-and/latest-magento-version-2-3-1-package-for-plesk/idi-p/133515
Looks like Plesk is no longer a professional software to use when seeking to remain PCI compliant with ecommerce software like Magento on there.
