- Plesk for Linux
After the DKIM feature was enabled on multiple domains some of the corresponding default._domainkey DNS records begin with v=DKIM1; while the record on other domains begin with p=.
Why is the string v=DKIM1; not added to all DKIM records?
Plesk 12.5 supported DomainKeys only. The DomainKey records do not contain a version identifier v=.
With Plesk Onyx DomainKeys was replaced by DKIM while already existing DomainKeys were not updated.
This is possible because DKIM records may optionally contain the version identifier as v=DKIM1;
The records can be unified by disabling and enabling DKIM again on a domain that has a default._domainkey record which lacks v=DKIM1;
