Question
A website has been compromised/hacked. Does Plesk have any tool to analyze a website for malware?
Answer
The following Plesk extensions scans websites against malware:
-
ImunifyAV (former name Revisium Antivirus) for Websites (Linux only) - An intelligent antivirus and security monitoring tool for websites with one-click automatic malware cleanup, domains reputation monitoring and blacklist status check.
ImunifyAV is available as a Free, Premium and Shared Hosting edition. In it's free mode it scans websites content and detects malware. In the paid mode it can also clean up the detected malware. -
VirusTotal Website Check - This extension scans all domains on a server for viruses, worms, trojans, and other malware.
-
Sucuri Security Scanner - The Sucuri Security Scanner remotely detects website security issues, blacklist warnings, and malware visible in the source code. You can set a custom scan time and the alerting mechanism will notify the server administrator if any warnings are detected.

I just tested the free version of ImmunifyAV. Interestingly, it identifies an issue with a file of a CMS which however does not seem to be an issue. Challenge: ImmunifyAV does not state the reason / malware which it seemed to have identified. This should be the minimum what is required - even for the free version...
