What is the difference between Security Advisor and Advisor?
Security Advisor is an extension, which works on Plesk 12.5 and newer (maximum supported version is 17.8.9). It shows quick overview of websites' SSL protection status, WordPress security status for all domains, and offers to install security-related extensions from the extension catalog. Its main purpose was to provide suggestions regarding security best practices.
Advisor is a new extension, which works only with Plesk Onyx 17.8 (minimum supported version is 17.8.10). It has an updated UI, shows overall server rank, and the range of its advises will be expanded. Compared to Security Advisor, the Advisor extension is more proactive in pushing the Plesk administrator towards best security and SEO practices.
One of these two extensions is pre-installed on all new Plesk deployments: Advisor on Plesk Onyx 17.8, and Security Advisor on earlier versions.
During upgrade to Plesk Onyx 17.8, Advisor replaces Security Advisor.
Both extensions cannot be installed at the same time.
