How to synchronize DNS zones with a slave server set up through Slave DNS Manager in Plesk?
There are several ways to synchronize DNS zones with Slave DNS server:
Synchronize Slave DNS server in Extensions > Slave DNS Manager > Resync. It will sync all zones on the server.
If sync is required for a particular domain, trigger synchronization by changing DNS settings in Plesk > Domains > example.com > DNS Settings. For example, add and remove A record.
Using command line:
Connect to the server via SSH
Execute the following command:
# rndc -b 203.0.113.2 -s 203.0.113.3 -p 953 -c /usr/local/psa/var/modules/slave-dns-manager/slave_203.0.113.3.conf -y rndc-key refresh example.com IN
- 203.0.113.2 - IP address of a master server
- 203.0.113.3 - IP address of a slave server
/usr/local/psa/var/modules/slave-dns-manager/slave_203.0.113.3.conf- configuration file for connection to slave server. The exact path can be found in Extensions > Slave DNS Manager > 203.0.113.3.
