How to protect a Plesk server from incoming spam and viruses?

Answer

  1. Install and configure these Plesk extensions against spam and viruses:

    Note: The following extensions require an additional license to be purchased.

  2. (Linux) Enable greylisting protection and configure it.

  3. Use DKIM, SPF and DMARC protection.

  4. Switch on spam protection based on DNSBL.

    in /etc/psa/dmarc.conf

    the dmarc checking is quite unusable.

    DMARC filter checks the results of DKIM and SPF results and marks a mail message according to the filter policies.

    When SPFIgnoreResults is set as "true" DMARC filter ignores all SPF check results. However, it will still check the DKIM verification.
