Mail content syncronization from Mail Enable to Smartermail is too slow? How to monitor it?
When messages are backed up in MailEnable prior to migration, a list of MD5 hashes of "Message-ID" fields is analyzed. It is necessary to decide if we should include a message in the dump ot not. This is resource-consuming and quite slow, but it allows to save time later on not transferring messages that already exist on target server. When there are many messages, slow source server, target server or network, it can seem that migrator hung, while actually it is processing mail messages.
There is no tool to track overall progress of copy mail content operation. The only way of indirect tracking down the mail content sync progress is checking mail content folder size on the target server and comparing it with the folder size on the source:
%plesk_dir%\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Postoffices - for Mail Enable on the source
C:\SmarterMail\Domains\ - for Smartermail on the target.
To monitor which mail account is currently being synced, check
