Cannot upload backup file to the server repository with the following error in Plesk interface:
PLESK_ERROR: Unable to import file as dump: Converter error: Backup format conversion failed. Unable to load the XML file /var/lib/psa/dumps/backup-example_info_1803212006.xml. Error at line 2768. Check that the file does not contain invalid characters and it matches conventions for XML documents. Correct any XML mistakes and try uploading the file again. If you supplied an archive file containing a backup from Plesk version 9 or later, then extract the contents of this archive, and process the extracted XML file with the convert
The above mentioned line 2768 in
/var/lib/psa/dumps/backup-example_info_1803212006.xmlcontains symbols like below:
CONFIG_TEXT: <setting value="A1‘35¿'ñt;֦ppw;`t機A" name="fsPartnersPassword"/>
Backup was created on Plesk of version higher than 9.
Corrupted XML file.
1. Connect to the server via SSH.
2. Back up the *.xml file
# mv /var/lib/psa/dumps/backup-example_info_1803212006.xml /var/lib/psa/dumps/backup-example_info_1803212006.xml.bak
3. Open file
/var/lib/psa/dumps/backup-example_info_1803212006.xml in any text editor and change invalid characters on the line mentioned in the error to the different one in plain text. For example:
CONFIG_TEXT: <setting value="NEW PASSWORD" name="fsPartnersPassword"/>
4. Rename the following files:
# mv /var/lib/psa/dumps/dump-header /var/lib/psa/dumps/dump-header.bak
# mv /var/lib/psa/dumps/dump-index /var/lib/psa/dumps/dump-index.bak
